  • name the main vocabulary words;

-write sport vocabulary words;

-use them in their speech.

-say and all the words correctly;

-use them in their speech;

- complete the worksheet correctly.

Success criteria

Learners have met this learning objective if they can:

-recognise spoken language slowly and distinctly;

- pronounce sport vocabulary words correctly

- do most of tasks correctly.

1.Warm up video watching

[W] Ls watch the video and guess the topic of the lesson: about sport and winners ‘Hats and Bats’.

-Who are the main heroes of the video?

Ls answer the questions:

-What kind of sport did you see in the video?

-Can you name more types of sports?

Ls study the PPT. Repeat after the teacher the names of types of sports and guess then in mother tongue. Ls make notes if they need.

Ts points that we use these names with the verb “to play”

3. Ph. Training GAME “Show sport”

[W] A Learner is to show the type of the sport. The rest of the Ls guess it.

Or ‘Memory Sport game’

4. Practice

[G] Ls are divided into pairs/groups.

Ask learners to write out the sports of the worksheet 1 in alphabetical order using second letter where first is the same.

Ls write the missing letters in the words and in the boxes of the crossword they are to write the words.
