Greeting, Warm Up and Number Review

Greet the students.

  • "Hello!"/"Good morning!"/"Good afternoon!"
  • “What`s your name? How are you?”

Warm-up

Song “Make a circle”

In a circle pupils ask questions:

What is your name?

What is your friend’s name?

How are you?

How old are you?

What are you wearing today?

What is he/she wearing today?

Where are you from?etc.

Number Revision

Watch video and sing a song “Counting by tens”

Learners in rows t turn and back-write numbers 11-50 [write with finger on another learner’s back]. Learners turn the other way and repeat process.

(W) The teacher reviews pronunciation for numbers 1- 50 with the ppt slides

(I) The teacher calls out a number. The students write the number with the paddles.

(W). 1. Show ppt slides. Most of this should be words that students know, but quickly go over pronunciation measuring words.

(I) 2. Pass out the notes. Have students cut these and glue them neatly into their vocabulary books.

1.) Review How Many with students, remind them of the structure on ppt slides

2.) Read and answer the questions using the school vocabulary words on ppt slides.

3.) Let students ask each other in partner’s how many of the items in the ppt slides are in the classroom. Encourage them to answer each other in complete sentences.

Introduce question How long is…?

Give learners rulers/tape measures and a worksheet with measurements to record about themselves. Ask learners to work in pairs and complete worksheets with measurements and simple words.

1.) Pass out the worksheets with measuring tasks

3.) Check students work and offer feedback
